Registration
- Fully Registered Doctor with the General Medical Council
- No Restrictions on Practice.
- No active sanctions or fitness to practice investigations.
- Current contract with North East Ambulance Service (NEAS)
- Full Membership of the British Association for Immediate Care (Membership required if application successful)
Clinical Experience
- 4 Years post full registration experience
- ST4 or above (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 12 months working in an acute setting (post registration):
- Emergency / Acute Medicine
- Intensive Care Medicine
- Anaesthetics
- Pre-Hospital Critical Care experience.
- Previous experience of voluntary sector.
- Ongoing practice in acute care.
- Awareness of JRCALC guidelines
Qualifications
- MB ChB or MB BS Degree (or equivalent)
- ALS Provider (or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS (within 3 years
- DipIMC or FIMC (RCSEd)
- Postgraduate study in a relevant topic
- Provider and/or Instructor Status:
- APLS
- ATLS
- MIMMS
- BASICS Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Course or equivalent
- Human Factors / CRM Course
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Emergency Driving Qualification
Commitment
- Availability outside contracted work to perform this role.
- Support from current employer if required.
- Whilst this is a voluntary post, to complete training and maintain currency a minimum of 12 hours clinical time and 4 hours training/charity time per month is requested.

- No restrictions on treating North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust patients.
- Living / Working within the area covered by North East Immediate Care.
